ARTWORK SUBMISSION
1. What is Camera ready artwork?
2. What file types can you accept?
3. Why do you need a high resolution image?
4. Can I e-mail artwork to you?

To avoid an art charge, camera ready artwork must be supplied.

Camera ready artwork is high quaility black and white artwork printed on vellum or clear film sized and ready to be processed by us for printing. If the design is multi-colored, a separate B&W image is required for each color. Addtional separations may be required for multi-colored designs on dark garments.

Camera ready artwork is not:

  1. *Photocopies of any type
  2. *A Fax
  3. *Business cards or other printed items
  4. *Dirty Artwork (smudges or marks)
  5. *Continuous tone images: i.e., B&W and color photographs
  6. *Web based graphics

We will accept artwork supplied to us by the above methods, but an art charge will be applied.

File Types: - Images in vector format such as files created in CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator are the preferred file types and in many cases we will not charge an art charge if you send your artwork in this format. Please select PANTONE colors when creating the file. You may alternatively supply us with a high quality digital image (200 - 250 dpi at actual print size) that has been separated into different layers or channels in a program such as Adobe Photoshop. Do not use "anti-aliasing" which blends the edges of text and other objects to make them appear softer.

In order of preference, here is a list of file types we will accept for artwork. We use the versions listed and we can use files created by older versions as well:

  • CorelDraw 12 - *.cdr
  • Adobe Illustrator 9 - *.ai, *.eps
  • Adobe Photoshop 6.0 - *.psd
  • *.jpg
  • *.tif

All fonts must be converted to curves or paths. We operate on PC's only. Please save your files accordingly.

Image Resolution - High resolution images (200 - 250 dpi at final print size) are required in order to produce a clean, sharp print. Most images found on the internet are 72 dpi, and will not look good when enlarged and printed.

Sending Artwork by E-mail - If your file is large please use Win-Zip to compress it.
